If your original housings are in good condition and you only want to change the light source, replacement bulbs may be an option. Complete tail light assemblies are worth considering when the lenses are cracked, the housings are damaged, or you want a different rear lighting design.
When comparing assemblies, look at both the appearance with the lights off and the pattern of each function when illuminated.
Compare the new assemblies with your original lights before fitting them. Review the included instructions and identify the connections for the running lights, brakes, turn signals, and reverse lights.
Do not assume that connector position alone identifies its function. If the connections are unclear, contact HawkGlow with photos of the original sockets and the new assembly before proceeding.
Check both sides for running-light, brake, turn-signal, hazard, and reverse operation before completing installation. Confirm that the turn signals flash normally and that the brake lights remain clearly distinguishable from the running lights.
Check the mounting tabs and screw alignment before tightening. If the housing does not seat correctly, stop and request installation assistance rather than forcing it into place.
If a lighting problem was present before replacement, have the vehicle-side wiring, sockets, grounds, and fuses checked as appropriate. A new assembly will not repair a fault elsewhere in the circuit.
